Spraying chemical pesticides in a garden can be dangerous due to the potential for harm to humans, pets, beneficial insects, and the environment, including pesticide drift and long-term environmental contamination. Some of these chemicals rub off on children or pets, but most are washed with rainwater into our streams, lakes and rivers or are absorbed into our groundwater. These are the sources of our drinking water, and tests show these chemicals are indeed contaminating our water supply. This is a climate fiction story set in my garden, staring plants, a bunny and my dog.
